Since November 2014 we've been supporting Casa Helen, a senior citizen's care home in Moldova. Moldova is one of the poorest countries in Europe and has a large proportion of the population (40% of all working age people) who are migrating to other countries. This means many senior citizens are left without support. There is no government social provision for this group so many are alone and uncared for. Casa Helen provides them with food, warmth, shelter, healthcare and company.

Along with Zeo, a Church in Hitchin, we contribute £300 every month. This £600 fills the gap between what Casa Helen can raise themselves and what it costs to run the home. We have contributed £20,050 in total through these monthly donations and other activities such as our first virtual charity race.

We have just signed off another two years of support and we are excited to keep funding this fantastic cause through 2023 and beyond!
